St. George Plantation, St. George Island, Florida and the Apalachicola Bay Area have magnificent white sugar beaches for your outdoor beach wedding; or if you prefer, there are multiple churches, Lafayette Park, Dixie Theater and multiple other buildings to hold your wedding reception. We have provided a list of venues and venders for you to check out. There are also several wedding and event planners in the area if you wish to leave the planning to someone else. Two of them can provide your wedding and reception flowers along with the usual functions of planning your wedding or other event.
Sweet Dreams and Heaven Can Wait are located in elegant and private St. George Plantation. These large homes are excellent venues for the small private beach wedding and wedding reception with closest friends or family members and there are multiple additional hotel room rentals in the area for guests attending your larger wedding. Sweet Dreams has a capacity of 8-12 guests and Heaven Can Wait has a capacity of 4-8.
The weather on St. George Island is very temperate year around, but especially in spring and fall. The weather is warm and comfortable, with warm days and cool, comfortable evenings. A perfect time to plan your wedding at the beach and share your wedding week with friends or family members if you so desire. |

Dixie Theater (850) 653-3200 Originally built in 1913, this wonderful space can host approximately 150 people.
